WakeMed Names Kenneth Murray as Director of Organizational Process Improvement
Six Sigma expert joins WakeMed team
RALEIGH, N.C. � WakeMed Health & Hospitals welcomes Kenneth Murray, PE to WakeMed as the Director of Organizational Process Improvement.
Murray comes to WakeMed from Duke University Hospital where he has served as management engineer, process improvement facilitator, and manager of management engineering supporting process improvement efforts using Six Sigma. Prior to that role, Murray managed process engineering groups at Solectron Technology and Nortel Networks and he has accumulated more than 10 years of experience leading improvement teams, developing training and mentoring staff in improvement methods.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, is a Licensed Professional Engineer and a certified black belt in Six Sigma performance improvement and is completing his MBA.
As the Director of Organizational Process Improvement, Murray will be supporting system-wide process improvement initiatives in alignment with the WakeMed Strategic Plan, Performance Improvement Plan, and Patient Safety Plan. In addition, he will be developing strategies for education, continuous improvement and change management.
