Defines application scope and performance objectives that reflect an understanding of applicable business systems and clinical requirements. Functions as timely as first level response for the development, modification and maintenance of Medical Record Services applications. Functions as a data liaison between other departments and Medical Record Services. Responsible for testing, planning and supporting vendor supplied updates and releases. Maintains system documentation. Supports data needs throughout the corporation by writing and developing reports. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare or Health Information Management, one (1) year of health information management, two (2) years of technical experience and three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of report writers such as Crystal. Must have a demonstrated ability to support database applications and ability to interpret and present clinical/technical information to a variety of audiences.
