Tuberculous pleural effusionDefinition: Tuberculous pleural infusion is a fluid accumulation in the lung caused by a severe, usually prolonged infection with tuberculosis. As the number of patients with HIV and AIDS increases, this condition is occuring more often. See tuberculosis and pleural effusion.
