Hospital Tour Information

We encourage children's groups to tour the WakeMed Children's Center and other areas of care on our Raleigh Campus.  This educational experience helps children become familiar with our Children's Emergency Department and what to expect if they have to make an "unexpected" visit. 

Our tours take approximately one hour. Whether your group is from a school, church or civic organization, all are welcome. To make tour arrangements, please call 919-350-7827.  You will be asked the following information:

• Your group name and the number of children touring.  If your group has more than 15 children, they will be split into two groups, and you will need to provide a chaperon for each group.  There is a limit of 30 children per visit. 
• Tell us of any special needs the children in your group may have.
• Submit two acceptable tour dates.  We require at least 30 days notice to schedule a tour.
• Request a specific time of day for your tour.  We do not give evening or weekend tours. 

A representative of the Public Relations department will contact you with a confirmation of your tour schedule.  Please provide us with 24-hours notice if you will be unable to keep your tour appointment.
