Pharmacy Internship Program
The WakeMed Pharmacy Internship offers a 12-week paid program for pharmacy students that begins in May and runs through August of each year. The program provides pharmaceutical experiences in IV mixture, dispensing, clinical and administration. As a pharmacy intern, you will partner with an experienced pharmacist and work as a contributing staff member. Selection criteria are based on references to include a referral from your academic program director, interviews and academic achievement.
How do I apply?
Applications are accepted annually at the beginning of the spring semester. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply on-line for the Intern-Pharmacy position.
Qualifications
To qualify to participate in the WakeMed Pharmacy Internship, you must be currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy. During the interview process, two letters of reference from a clinical instructor are required, as well as an acceptance letter from the School of Pharmacy. To apply,

- Provide transcripts from the most recent school attended.
- Provide two letters of recommendation.
- Provide a Pharmacy Acceptance Letter.
