Rehab Summer Internship Program

Applications are accepted at the beginning of February through the end of March each year.  Please apply to "Intern, Rehab" positions.

The WakeMed Rehab Internship offers a 12-week paid program for students entering an Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy or Speech Language Pathology program.  The Internship program begins in May and runs through August of each year.

WakeMed’s Rehabilitation Departments provide rehabilitation services to both inpatients and outpatients in the Raleigh and Cary Hospitals, the WakeMed Rehabilitation Hospital and a network of outpatient facilities.  Rehab interns partner with an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist to assist in the provision of therapy services and perform various support functions as necessary.  Participants may also have an opportunity to participate in a rehab administration project.  Selection criteria are based on references to include a referral from your academic program director, interviews and academic achievement.

How do I apply?

Applications are accepted annually at the beginning of February through the end of March each year.  Interested applicants are encouraged to apply on-line for the "Intern, Rehab" position.
