Summer Internship Programs
WakeMed Health & Hospitals Summer Internship Program is a 12-week, paid program that begins in May and continues through August. This internship program provides opportunities for students in graduate and undergraduate health care programs to work in the health care setting alsongsie an experienced staff of professionals. Interns will be mentored by managers or preceptors who will provide projects and familiarize the intern with health care procedures, organizational structure and culture.
To qualify, students must:
- Be a full-time student attending an accredited college or university
- Be at least a junior or senior in a baccalaureate degree program or graduate degree program in public health, health policy administration, or health administration
- have an overall 3.0 GPA
Intern Requirements:
- Interns must be available to work full-time days for 12 consecutive weeks during the summer.
- Interns must provide their own transportation and housing.
How do I apply?
Applications are accepted mid-January through the end of February each year. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online by choosing "Intern" position.
During the interview process, two (2) professional references and an official copy of your most recent transcript will be required.
