How to Apply
WakeMed requires all applications for employment to be placed online. Our online application system allows you to search and apply for job openings, create an applicant profile, or build an electronic resume. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
New Applicants, please follow these instructions to apply for a job online:
1.) You must have an active email account or address (i.e. johndoe@yahoo.com) to apply for a job online. If you do not have an e-mail account, there are several resources available that offer free e-mail accounts. One of these is http://mail.yahoo.com. Please note that WakeMed has no association with your chosen e-mail provider.
2.) Once you have an email account or address, you must submit a resume in electronic format. Go to our "Build Your Resume" tool to create this document if you do not already have a resume in electronic format. If you already have a resume saved on your computer, you may upload your resume or you may cut and paste the document into our database. Please note that resumes should be in Microsoft Word or Rich Text File documents for the best layout. By uploading, we will be able to extract the necessary information.
3.) You must build a WakeMed Employment Profile. Remember to review your profile and resume prior to submitting to make changes and/or updates, as this is the document WakeMed utilizes as your application for employment. Your profile/application will be reviewed by Human Resources when conducting job searches for specific experience, skills and competencies.
