If your loved one has had a heart procedure at the WakeMed Heart Center, you naturally would want to stay close by. The Heart Center Inn at the WakeMed Heart Center allows you to do just that.

The 38-room Inn is located on the top floor of the WakeMed Heart Center and provides convenient and comfortable accommodations exclusively for heart patients and their families. The Inn operates like a hotel and is competitively priced, but it offers special resources and services related to cardiac care.

Each room in the Inn is furnished to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms feature a television with DVD/VCR, high-speed Internet access, clock-radio and telephone (no charge for local calls), a private bath with hair dryer and other standard amenities, and a coded key security entry system. Handicap rooms are available upon request. An exercise room and laundry facility are located on the same floor as the Inn providing even more convenience for our guests.

A complimentary heart-healthy continental breakfast is served every morning. The Inn is home to a resource center with education materials on heart health and Internet access for guests. Other books and videos are available for checkout at no charge.

Convenience is a key component to the Heart Center Inn. Patients traveling from out of town to the WakeMed Heart Center can stay the night before an early-morning procedure or following discharge from the hospital. Family members are just an elevator ride away from the nursing units caring for a loved one and even the cardiac doctors whose offices are inside the Heart Center. Free parking adjacent to the Heart Center makes getting in and out of the facility a convenience factor, too.
