The Champions

The WakeMed Champions is a select group of corporate and community leaders who are dedicated and committed to making a difference at WakeMed.

The Champions receive specific goals and direction from the Champions Chair and Foundation Board of Directors.  They engage in educational opportunities to increase their understanding of the hospital’s programs and services.

In addition, all Champions serve on one of the Foundation’s four standing committees.  Other activities include inward and outward awareness programs for Champions and their companies, along with civic and community group tours and meetings of their choosing.

Individual members should:

• Express an interest in learning more about WakeMed and health care
• Recognize the importance of educating their colleagues
• Exhibit a willingness to raise funds for the Foundation
• Demonstrate a personal and financial commitment and agree to two years of service
