WakeMed Foundation is the charitable resource for WakeMed Health & Hospitals, supporting the health system in its commitment to providing quality healthcare to all citizens of the community.  WakeMed is more than facilities and services, more than technology and expertise.  It is a haven, whose doors are open to everyone in need.

Our Mission
The WakeMed Foundation is dedicated to building support for WakeMed Health & Hospitals through leadership development, fund raising and educational awareness as the health and hospitals system meets the needs for quality health care programs and services for all citizens of the community.

Our Staff
Foundation staff share the hospital’s dedication to advancing quality health care for anyone in need.  We help the health system turn your goodwill into medical achievements that touch the lives of thousands of patients each year.

Our Board of Directors
Foundation Board members are responsible for advancing the mission of WakeMed Foundation, through philanthropic initiatives and programs designed to support WakeMed Health & Hospitals.  Each Foundation Board Member volunteers his or her time and special expertise to further the Foundation's mission.

The Champions
The WakeMed Champions is a select group of individuals dedicated and committed to making a difference at WakeMed.  Drawn from various business sectors, these volunteers use their business acumen to educate business and civic leaders about WakeMed's mission and impact on our community.

The WakeMed Foundation produces a quarterly publication for its supporters called Developments, which features the latest news and information about WakeMed Health & Hospitals.
