With managed care and broad benefits plan options, finding a physician isn�t as easy as it used to be. Your neighbor�s physician isn�t always covered through your insurance plan, and sometimes you need to find a new physician because of a new health need or changes in your coverage. Or, you may have just moved to the area and are wondering how to find a new physician.

Among the many free services we are pleased to offer at WakeMed is Doctor Choice, a physician referral service that helps area residents find a primary care physician or specialist. With just one phone call, we can identify conveniently located physicians who participate in your managed care plan. Doctor Choice will even help you if you have personal preferences regarding the physician who treats you (i.e. male or female, languages spoken or medical school of graduation).
