Requirements
Responsible for the overall functions and operations of the Clinical Analysis department including supporting medical staffs' peer review/quality improvement initiatives and performance Improvement efforts hospital-wide by monitoring and collecting data, influencing practice behaviors of practitioners through information sharing and presentation, analyzing and evaluating utilization and quality data, supporting clinical reporting, physician orders program, selected health services research, and performance scorecards, and strengthening organization's use of data through sophisticated but practical statistical methodologies (predictive modeling, data mining, stratification, etc.). The Director supports the organization's goals of complying with (and excelling at) publicly reported or strategically important health information data requirements including Leapfrog, CMS Core Measures, IHI initiatives, JCAHO, ACC/STS/Stroke databases, etc. and takes a key leadership role in advancing the organization's ability to anticipate and prepare for future requirements. The Director works collaboratively and productively with other key departments within the system involved in data collection, management, analysis, and distribution including but not limited to IS, Organizational Improvement, Center for Patient Safety, Medical Records, Corporate Planning and Managed Care, Finance, Nursing, and Medical Staff Services. Reports to VP Quality and Patient Safety.
At least three years of direct clinical practice preferred. At least three years experience with supervisory or managerial responsibilities. Experience working with physicians and hospitals required. Knowledge of healthcare informatics systems strongly preferred.
PhD preferred or Masters Degree in statistics, bioinformatics, public health epidemiology or other related field in conjunction with bachelors or higher degree in a health field e.g. nursing, pharmacy, medical technology.

Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM, No Weekends.
